My old Regency analog scanner receives " rapid woodpecker like "clicking audio that increases in speed until it becomes a constant barrage and changes the speed and background tone to the transmission until it stops. Then it begins again with the same pattern upon a new transmission, when Hopatcong NJ PD input 155.580 /output 158.850 transmits. Yet I receive no audio, nor does my 800 stop scanning when there is obviously an RF carrier present and radio activity is underway.
