ARC 536 Pro

I have been trying to get my virtual control to work and I have followed the directions Butel gave me in the manual. NO Luck at all. I am running win 7 pro, HPZ220 I7 4790 and 8gb of ram. I am using a gigaware usb to serial adapter that I have used to control My BC898T's with for several years with ARC898 and not had any issue. I have set the location in the GPS to serial as instructed and adjusted the port settings to 115200. Set the UISB serial port on VC to the appropriate port and when I hit start, Nothing happens at all. Anyone have any ideas????
