I know that the 1080 is the newer scanner. All I've been able to find, here and on the Whistler site, is that the 1080 does Phase 2. I'd like to know what features are missing on the 1040 that the 1080 has. I don't need a Phase 2, nor I think I will ever need it, so, other than the lower price on the 1040, what other advantages it has?
