Hi. I was licensed in the late 60's at the age of 12 w/ GC class license and operated a few years with pleasure. Now wanting to get back into ham radio. Times have changed, of course.
Am seeking suggestions for relatively recent transceivers that have digital displays and also capable of receiving shortwave broadcast. I like listening to such. Don't want to mess around w/ a separate receiver and transmitter.
My requirements are:
1) Transmit on ham bands, but receive general coverage shortwave.
2) Be within 250 to 750 dollars on the "used" market.
3) Have a digital tuner.
4) Be 100 watts or above.
5) Ideally, have an antenna tuner for random wire SWR tuning or compatible with a Matchobox.
