246T with FTDI

Hey All,



Using an FTDI (or wahtever) USB cable to try and connect freescan to my Uniden 246T but it keeps saying failing to connect to scanner... what am I missing? Please help...



Drivers are in, and the cable is registering and getting assigned to a com port, and com port matches respective one in freescan...
