H there, we have two scanners at the firehouse, one with conventional channels loaded in it and one to monitor the Baltimore county digital system.
Nothing has been moved or added in over a year but in the past week the older bearcat has started picking up these alternating tones over 154.28, the fmars channel. We only hear them when a transmission is going across, sometimes we will also hear NOAA traffic bleed through.. Also during intentional transmissions. It's odd.. Does anyone have any idea what can be done to prevent this interference?
Also, if I turn the squelch all the way up on that channel the tones are there but very very faint under the static.
