Frequencies

I am new to scanning, and received a Uniden Bearcat BC346XTC for Christmas. After looking at Radio Reference for my frequencies I found the ones I wanted and programmed them in. For the past week not one of the frequencies has said a word, nothing. I talked with Uniden and they said to make sure that I had used Analog and not Digital frequencies. I looked back at Radio Reference and wrote down the ones I wanted. But I could not see anywhere that said if they Analog or Digital. How do I know? Any suggestions?
