I had refrained from starting a topic on this site for fear of losing my account, but with the recent closing of a topic because the moderators felt that calling out Uniden for their shortcomings was pointless, I have no faith in this site to maintain a fair consumer/manufacturer environment.

It is only through unity and strength that results will be obtained. Individual letters and calls to Uniden have proved pointless. The site will initially attempt resolution through non-legal channels, but is prepared to file the necessary actions to proceed with a class action suit should resolution not be achieved.
People say that the only people that win in a class action suit are the lawyers. Yes, you may not see a monetary award equal to what you have invested in the product, but hitting Uniden in the pocketbook will hopefully guarantee that they will not repeat this act. To allow them to advertise products that are not available almost a year after the product announcement is allowing them to become emboldened to abuse their customers further in the future.
