I am having a problem with my WS 1080 on the Loudoun Co VA system....... It seems to be programmed correctly. With the correct 800 MHz frequencies.
SEE: Loudoun County Trunking System, Ashburn, Virginia - Scanner Frequencies
However, many times it is hitting (being switched by the control channel ?) to VC= 903.275, 902.7875, 903.5250, 903.5125, and 903.2625. there is no audio coming through. How could it switch the VC to a frequency not in the bank ? Am I missing something ? Sometimes I feel stupid trying to figure these things out....... although when you do it produces that "Eureka" moment :)
Also: Is there a way to manually set the P25 threshold level on this scanner? On my BCD436 HP changing this from an 8 (auto) to 10 (manual) made all the difference in reception.
I think, and am hopeful, that when I get this unit set up properly it will out perform the 436.
Thank You.
