With all these dongles and out there and such, is there a technical reason why a portable can't be made with let's say a 1000khz bandwidth that we could then connect into software and have a defacto SDR radio?? Seems if that is possible, they would sell a ton of them. It be nice just for a portable shortwave to have a filter option just to convert DRM on the comptuer.
The Dongles seem to be able to do this for under 10 bucks.... Just wonder if there is a reason why no one has come out with a portable that could do the same.
