NEXEDGE Mobiles

Hi,

I'm looking for two mobile radios to use on a NEXEDGE system and was just running into a bit of confusion regarding a few things;

1) Its my educated guess that in the model number, if there is an "H" included, that means that its a higher powered version of its non-"H" counterpart; as an example NX-840 does 25w max whereas NX-840H does 45w max; is that correct?

2) I see other models that include a "G" or "K" in the model numbers such as NX-820HGK & NX-300GK; what do those letters signify?

3) In my particular case, I'll need to remote-mount the head while the rest of the radio would reside in the trunk; are there any other models besides NX-800 or NX-5800B that have the remote mount feature? Not sure if there is such thing in the NEXEDGE series, but I would be okay using an older generation of radio so long as it still worked fine with a NEXEDGE system

4) Are there any good spots I should check for used mobile NEXEDGE radios for sale besides the obvious? I've checked ebay and while it has plenty of accessories for NEXEDGE radios, there seem to be very few actual mobile radios listed

5) I assume that I could use some of the extra channels on the radio to program in traditional 70cm amateur repeaters in my area?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer any of these questions for me; while I am a licensed ham operator (The first amateur radio I purchased was a Kenwood TM-V71A in fact), the NEXEDGE system is completely new territory for me and I'd like to make 100% I buy the right equipment the first time :)

Thanks!

Steve
