I see why there was no big announcement for the release of the HP-2. No way to initialize volume adjustment from the touch screen, MicroSD still hidden under the batteries, same awkward SMA connector, no increase in audio output, same stand with no new adjustments or securing methods, and the same pathetic software that requires you to purchase ARC Patrol.
I like my HP-1E and was excited to hear that the HP-2 was going to be released. But $499.00 for a black faceplate and Apco (P25) Phase ll ?Plus 50.00 for Extreme, No way !
I clearly remember when GRE gave us a FREE Apco (P25) Phase ll upgrade for the PSR-800.
Uniden and UPMan should be ashamed charging for the Extreme update on the HP-2. Most of us lost $$$ on the *36HP's. And this is the thanks we get for hanging in there. I'm done....
I'm glad I have other hobbies cause this one blows.
