Can anyone give a detailed explanation of the Advanced DSP Settings and how adjusting them can improve P25 reception. Items are:
DSP Level Adapt
ADC Gain
DAC Gain
Also under the Trunked Radio Systems Tab, Multi-site settings:
Data decode thresholds low and high.
I have seen bits and pieces on these items discussed in the forums but no detailed explanation of what they are for and how best to adjust the values for best P25 and multi-site reception. My Pro-668 does not pick up P25 transmissions or P25 multisite transmissions very well. Mostly garbled, sometimes clear and garbled, sometimes clear, sometimes no copy depending on my physical location inside or outside. Side by side with my 396XT, the 396XT has almost 100% copy. Both radios have the same Radio Shack 800mhz antenna attached.
