A buddy of mine just called me and there fire dept just switched to NXDN radios 3 days ago and says he thinks it is encrypted. He was told he could get his own radio and was given the frequencies and a code of "1 RAN" with this info will he just be able to buy a proper radio and it work for him with that code?
