BCDx36HP Which is built to last longer? And misc question.

So I have a 996xt. I doesnt go in the car with me because it's truely a hassle.



I got my income tax and can now pick up a 436.



My original plan was a 536 and 436 but decided not to because of cost. So I went with a 996xt. So I've been wanting a 436. ONLY for the grab and go ease. And phase 2. I had the 396xt for a week before I returned it. I liked the grab and go aspect but hated the display.



Which do you guys/gals think would last longer like 5/6 years? 536 or 436?



The only reason why I'm considering the 536 again is because of the wifi app. I could just set that up and use my phone when I'm traveling around the county. But if I go else where, I'd have to set it up and put it under a seat and still use my phone to control and listen. And hope no one kicks it.



Whereas the 436 I can just sit in a cup holder.



Also. For the 436 what could happen if I don't use an amplified speaker? It just seems like a waste to have another item plugged in (436 would be plugged in along with my iPhone).



For the 436 can someone recommend a plug for the headphone jack to keep dust out?



I hope to order the 436 next week. If I go with the 536 it'll be a bit longer.
