I have a laptop I got used cheap ( just had to do a simple WiFi repair) . It could not run sdr# and decode with DSD+ with VB cable ( just jittery).
So I installed Kali Linux on it as it already has SDR tools built in . I have had success using rtl-tcp to stream to my windows box that then can decode the digital ( nexedge) network.
What I'm looking to do now is be able to record a signal using a rtl-sdr to the laptop and then playback the captured audio . I just don't know what kind of settings that would be needed for audio quality . Also what programs to use in Kali Linux ( its debian biased)?
Right now I'm just looking at sitting on a control channel, but in the future I would like to setup VOX on voice channels ( as they don't talk much ).
Thanks for the help.
