Has anyone here had experience using the TAK-Tenna 40?

I'm taking the General test soon, and am already thinking about which antenna to use. I know I will be buying either a Yaesu FT-857D or an FT-897D. I don't live in an HOA or other legally-restrictive area, but I don't have space for a long dipole. I was thinking of using this TAK-Tenna 40 mounted on a 5 or 10 foot mast strapped to the chimney (single-story home), which is small and doesn't have to be mounted really high up on a long mast or tower.
