In just about 30 hours I'll have a brand new BCD436HP in my hands that I'll want to get up and running ASAP. I already own the 396XT and 996XT so I'm pretty familiar with the Unidens and how they work even though this one is slightly different.
I programmed my 396XT and 996XT by hand and only use Freescan to create a backup file in case the memory glitches so I can reload everything in a few seconds. I've already downloaded Sentinel and will use that the same way but will program the BCD436HP by hand as well.
My question is that I want to copy the info from the 396XT and set up the 436HP as identically as possible. I know there's no way to do this directly but is there any way to take the Freescan info to some sort of Word or Excel file or something like that to use as a reference for the 436HP programming? What's the best way to get the info to be able to get the programming done easiest?
