Hi All,
I have an EX-600 VHF portable and was wondering if it had the ability under the sub category "Program List" to "View Scan List"? The only two options given when I press "Scan List" are Add Entry? and Delete Entry? I have a EX-600 XLS UHF and a HT-1250 VHF and UHF and they both allow me to "View Scan List". Is there a check box I am missing in the CPS? Any help would be appreciated. In addition, can anyone suggest the best settings for the radio under Conventional Personality-Advanced Tab. What should be the "Norm" for Compression Type, Expansion type and Emphasis Type. On my Ht-1250 and the UHF EX-600 XLS I have them set as follows: Compression-Disabled, Expansion-Low Level and Emphasis-De and Pre and the output audio level is great. However; on the EX-600 VHF unit that I just purchased, if the above is set this way the radio audio sounds "tinny" like the operator on the other end is in a tin can and it is difficult to hear, plus the audio is very low. I have adjusted the settings to the following which has improved the sound, giving it more of a bass tone. Compression-Disabled, Emphasis-AGC Mode and Emphasis-De and Pre.
Any assistance on both issues would be appreciated or an explanation as to why this is happening would be appreciated. Suggestions and comments are always welcome. I have been tinkering with the radio for three days now just to get the "right" sound but now I am looking for an expert opinion. Thanks in advance.
