Colorado fallen officer over-the-air tributes

Heard this one this morning on DPD channels. This D6 dispatcher doesn't usually sound this broken up on the radio.

On March 5, 1934, DPD Patrolman Thomas J O'Connor was crossing the street with his wife when they were struck by an car. His wife, Lila O'Connor, suffered a compound fracture of the right leg and

possible internal injuries. She was taken to Mercy Hospital and survived. Her husband died

almost instantly from a skull fracture and a compound fracture of the right leg. His wife died 30 years later in Denver, just before the anniversary of his death.
