Baofeng uv-5r as daily wear.

I work in an enclosed freezer warehouse without windows. On our two conveyor belts we have sturdy ancient boom boxes that have withstood the test of time, besides the tape drives which freeze up instantly at 20 below zero. People snapped off the original antennas, and I diligently cut coat hangers to match the FM band. They eventualy turn into pretzels with little bits of wire connecting them to pipes. So screw them, I wear my uv-5r with a 14 inch whip between my shirt and sweatshirt. Snowsuit goes over that, and I can hear talk radio all over the warehouse as I drive my forklift. The only time it is an armpit poker is when helping belt people stack tall pallets. Even then the ExpertPower antenna just bends out of the way. I had to remove the volume knob from my radio as the volume just kept getting lower with movement, and over time the edge rubber buttons are wearing into white. Overall I like it. I now tuck my shirt in like an old man and flip the earpiece wire under my chin and over the shoulder to the left hip. This is a VERY heavy use, humid and low temp review.
