Minitor 6 software download problem

I am in need of some help.....I am trying to download and install the minitor 6 software from the Motorola web site, and I get through all the steps until it tries to actually install the software. When I install, the install screen will stay up with the green status bar for about 20 seconds or so, and then the status bar will start to move, then it get's about a tenth of the way done and the I get this "File transfer error" stating the file name, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect. I am using windows 7 home edition, service pack 1, 64 bit.....Now, the catcher is....I tried installing the Minitor 5 software and no issues whatsoever....It downloaded and installed just fine....Also, I had my wife's Sony Vio, which is using the same OS and the 6 software installed just fine....so it obviously is something with my laptop.....I just don't know what the heck it could be....If anyone out there has any input as to how I can get this to work, I would greatly appreciate it......I just can't seem to father as to why it worked just fine on my wife's Sony, but not my HP, when the OS is exactly the same...Now, I am sure it is just a simple setting that I have to add or remove, or something....Just any advise would be greatly appreciated.
