I was wondering...if I use the "att" setting on a 700/800MHz trunked system will it actually work?
I did play with the scanner settings a little and found that I could turn on/off the att setting for individual TG's on a 700/800MHz trunked system in my area. But I can't really notice a difference in my reception or in the clarity of the signal. I was just wondering if anyone else uses it for this type of system and if it really works on the higher frequencies. I know it works on the VHF high band.
One of the reasons that I ask is because the majority of us have trouble getting and keeping a strong signal on the higher frequencies. I don't think I have ever heard anyone complain that they are getting too strong of a signal in the 800MHz band.
Thanks for any insight.
