I have a BCD536HP that for the most part works just fine. Lately I've noticed that it will go wide open squelch with no carrier and all I hear is fry pan on a particular UHF freq I listen to constantly. (Local PD dispatch).
I've powered off/on, I've tried to adjust the squelch while it happens (it doesn't help), the channel is in 110.9 tone guard, and the only way to get out of the situation is to avoid the channel. Powering off and back on doesn't help at all - it just goes right back to the channel wide open. CTCSS alone should mute this with the squelch wide open.
Am I missing something obvious?
