Text Message for Email Client

Hello All,

I know you can text a cellphone with the proper email address for example mine would be "phone number"@vzwpix.com or @vztext.com. But I was wanting to set up a POP3/IMAP account in my email client (Mozilla Thunderbird) so I can send and receive texts on my computer. I don't know of any program that allows you to receive AND send texts from you computer. At least not for the IPHONE with out having to jail break it. If any one has any idea's please let me know, Thanks
