AULT, Colo. (CBS4) - Two people died Monday evening in Weld County when a pickup truck collided with a semi-truck hauling logs.
Two others were injured and transported to nearby hospitals.
The accident happened shortly after 5 p.m. at Highway 14 and Weld County Road 31 when the white pickup truck tried to cross the intersection but didnt make it.
A man injured in the crash told bystanders, who rushed to help, that his pregnant wife and daughter were hurt. Authorities said neither survived. A third man was airlifted to Northern Colorado Medical Center. His condition wasnt released late Monday night. The pregnant woman was apparently driving.
The victims names havent been released.
