I have a Uniden BCD996XT Scanner. Zones 3,4,5,6, and 8 of the MA State Police Motorola Trunked System have been programmed into it.
I am able to receive Zones 5 and 8 with no problems. When the MSP rebanded, these two zones were changed from an 800/900 Standard Band Plan to a Custom Band Plan. In checking the other Zones, the Band Plan for them show either an 800/900 Standard or a Splinter Band Plan. Currently, I'm not able to receive Zones 3,4, and 6.
My Question is: Since the Custom Band Plan is already in place for Zones 5 and 8, which I'm receiving fine, do I have to set up a custom band plan for those zones I can't receive, or just change the setting to Custom?
I'm using an outside antenna, so I it's my feeling that once the change(s) are made, I should be able to receive them no trouble.
