Hi recently bought a Mac cand find any dsp software

So my dad talked me into getting a MacBook Air and for the life of me I can't find a realtime audio filter I previously used Linux for 2years and I realizize it's a non duplex soundcard and also looking into buying a scanner and don't even know were to get software if I bought one please help
