Living next to Fort Smith and having heard it at Little Rock Air Force Base, I was just trying to figure out the
meaning of this freq. The other morning they ran a test via aircraft at KFSM and I have heard it at the air base in Little Rock., too. I never hear tracon use it in both places, but they test it. Backup? At KFSM at the actual airport I hear the controller but no a/c. Could be said for KLRF. It is very low power, BTW.
One must be very close to the aerodrome to hear the controller.
