I would like to mount a radio shack discone antenna for a scanner and a diamond x50 for a 2m radio on the same mast. Is this going to cause any interference? I will not be using both at the same time. Thanks for any help.

Hello all..I will be receiving my Home Patrol 1 one day next week. My local police dept, which is what I will be listening to is on the P25 system..My question is, would the antenna included with the unit work well enough or is buying an aftermarket antenna a better choice? If so, which antenna would be a good one for this scanner for home use? Thanks in advance!
