pro-651 not recharging

I have seen posts about the recharging problem on the 651 but don't see any that list a fix or if it can ever be fixed...are all the pro-651's not recharging, and yes all the setting are correct, correct ac adapter etc. chage time changed from 99 hours to 16...I don't want to have a seperate recharger and two sets of batteries...if anyone knows that this can be fixed let me know...I need the batteries to recharge in radio...if anyone has figured out the problem or if the factory is able to fix it let me know please...I bought it used so out of luck on warranty issues...thanks
