Old Newbie Wanting a new Scanner

So I have owned a RS PRO=164 for at least 5 years now listening to MSP and local police and fire. I noticed this year that Springfield has moved to P25 along with some MSP. I am not a scanner programmer (although I would like to find the time to figure all the programming out) . I will login to radioreference and get my codes through ARC300 software. I want to buy a new scanner that has P25 capabilities in the western MA area but still want to hear what i have been listening to over the last few years, Can anyone suggest a new scanner that will pick up the most transmissions in this area? Please ask additional questions as required to determine what would be best suited for me. I want to continue to receive current transmissions but also have the ability to receive signals as they move towards newer forms of technology. I am looking into the PSR-800. Good? Bad? Able to do what I require?
