More 536 Help please

I have been trying to use the discovery mode on this radio. It works pretty well, but several times when I press the function/system buttons, it will not come out of the discovery mode. I have no idea what I may have done, but I have actually had to reset user data once, and this morning I just hooked it to my PC and read from the scanner and wrote back to it and it started scanning again. A little strange. And I had it in discovery mode for almost 16 hours and there was no log of any of it.

Any Idea would be greatly appreciated.
