It has been a long time now, but back some time ago there was a conventional analog repeater here in the Twin Cities that had folks from Metro Traffic control checking in with reports. Did that move to an SMR somewhere? I found it interesting how some AM/FM radio stations went live with the traffic reporter, but others would save the information and broadcast it at a time conveneint to them. Of course, that meant that the information was often stale by the time it was broadcast.
Anyway, lets hear it, where is the traffic information coming from these days and how do I hear it on the air? As a side note, the best traffic information on ARMER seems to be the TMC 1 talkgroups when Highway Helpers get sent out.
