How to add a frequency for a new group?

Hello, guys,



I am a real beginner who just started to work at one of Motorola dealership company,

but all that I learned about programming is how to clone or edit the existing codeplug files using CPS,

because a technician who has worked here for over 30 years just quit 2 weeks ago without teaching me almost anything.



One of my existing customers wants a new frequency with 3 channels for a new group of workers

which is totally different from the conventional frequency they are using now.



What do I have to do first to assign a new frequency for the new user group?

Is it ok to assign another tone code for the new group, along with the rx and tx of the same repeater?

The conventional frequency they are already using is as follows ;

rx : xxx.xxx

tx : yyy.yyy

tone : 162.2

Model of radios : PM400



If anybody knows about these kind of issues or related website, please reply.

It'll help me very much, and I will help others as well when I'm grown up at radios in the future.
