BCD536HP Strange sound before and after audio

My 536 has been making a strange "squeak" sound when the scanner stops on a channel and again after the audio stops. This happens with and without an external speaker attached. In fact, you can hear it with the volume turned down all the way. It happens on conventional and trunked. Attached is a short zipped audio clip. Any ideas or is it time to send the unit back to Uniden?
