If you've needed one lately, and looked on Ebay, you've probably been shocked at the prices asked for them. The original black holder my 106 came with died this morning, about a quarter of the whole side of it disappeared when I put new batteries in it, so I looked on Ebay, where I had bought a couple of them a few years ago for about $6-7 each. Now, the cheapest ones are about $25!! I looked around on several websites and finally found them on the Whistergroup.com website under "SHOP" and then "Scanner Accessories" for the not outrageous price of $6.95 plus shipping. I bought two of them for about $21. I got the old battery holder working in the meantime by using a piece of packaging tape and jamming in a little hunk of rubber band under it to push the contact for the + post of the battery out so it touches the battery, bringing the 106 back to life. Even $6.95 is too much for these things, but it's at least sane. I bought some on the radioshack.com site years ago, but I can't even find any scanner parts online at all now. :confused:
