TPT XTS 2500--Hanging up?

Hi all, I read the forum in reference to obtaining.setting up TPT tones on XTS 2500 in conventional, and I got it working. But, when I key up on any channel, it produces a series of chirps, which sound like an error on my part, I am unsure as to why the TPT tones are hanging up like they are..... any info as to why this is??
