BCD536HP Front Port problem

Tried using front port in serial mode with Proscan 7.1 It worked ok so I went to bed with it running. When I got up the scanner had reverted to Storage Mode and PS 7.1 showed No Response. Front Port doesn't seem to want to stay in serial Mode.:mad:
