Had it not been for the precise timing of complete overcast sky on the night of April 14 through the morning of April 15, I would have been able to see one of 4 total eclipses occurring. April 14-15 was the start of a Tetard (series of 4 total lunar eclipses occurring 6 months after one another) and this was the ONLY ONE that I could have seen in its entirety. The next chance I might be able to catch an eclipse is September 2015 (the last eclipse of the tetard) which I will only be able to see the latter part (if I'm lucky).
If I hadn't worked my butt off completing 2 days of work in one day and owning $2000 + of telescopes, eyepieces and cameras, I would be really upset right now :)
