Can practices share records?

As a multi-specialty group practice, can outside records/information that is scanned into a patient chart at one practice location be "shared/used" at another practice/provider to obtain missing information? Specifically, the past family, surgical and social history for the patient is part of the records for ENT and the patient is establishing care with a new PCP within the group and this information is missing on his initial visit.

BAHA Question

Hello, Is anyone doing two stage BAHA's? According to my MD, some of the younger patients need time for the device to ossify to the bone and 3-6 months after initial surgery, need to go back in to complete. Not sure how this should be billed? 69714-52(first part) and 694714-58(if appropriate)-52 (second part)? Any advice is helpful. Thanks.

Hi,

I watched a video on the management of prescription drug management. The training stated you need to know what your MAC considers a moderate risk for prescription management. Does it need to be a new Rx/changing dosage for Moderate Risk. Or is the patient coming in for his 3 month refill considered a Moderate Risk. I have looked all over and I can't find anything on Noridan website for Jurisdiction F. Can anyone direct me to who or where to find this information.

Texas Deliveries

Needing help with our local Medicaid product denying our deliveries prior to 39 gestational weeks. Per the delivery note the patient has a 1st or 2nd degree laceration which is what we use for a diagnosis but it is not listed as a payable dx.
Has anyone else incurred similar challenges? If so how are you appealing these denials?

2021 E/M Changes New Patients

I know under the new guidelines if you are using Medical Decision Making to determine the level of service for an established patient that you MUST meet 2 out of 3 MDM requirements but what about New Patients? If using MDM do you have to meet 3 out of 3 or is it 2 out of 3 just like established patients? I have participated in all the webinars and virtual workshops but do not remember any mention regarding new patients.
