hello all! this is my very first post as i have just purchased my first (semi-complicated) baofeng radio. i have downloaded the CHIRP software and have successfully been able to program the radio with it. however, i need some help with using the GMRS frequencies.
in CHIRP, i have been able to import the GMRS frequencies, however, i can not figure out the settings to allow for a CTCSS code to be used. i have been able to enter it manually in frequency mode on the radio, but can not successfully communicate with my old GMRS handheld while using the CTCSS code. (i can RX a signal, but no sound, and i can not TX to the old unit)
if anyone can offer any help with this, i would greatly appreciate it!! thank you - grundle
